Apologies to anyone looking for a recent showreel, appears my host has lost several years of my site including backups during an upgrade.

Spring 2015

2015 off to a running start with the release of the aforementioned Wrongs compilation and the release of 'The Road' from Hundred Seventy Split. Rather pleasingly this quickly went to the top of the Amazon Blues Chart across Europe. Further dates in support of the release included a slot at the Legends of Rock in Minehead.

Following a short visit to Madrid with The School, it was back to Germany, Austria and Estonia with HSS in support of 'The Road'.

Following the Wales Goes Pop festival here in Cardiff there were sessions with Signal The Fleet and The Verdilacs. The former of which was able to create tasteful baselines despite his bass guitar having an obscene number of extraneous strings. (see below)

Finally after almost 18 months of sessions the release of Railroad Bill's highly anticipated album 'Pigs Might Fly'. Thankfully it was well received with Lonnie Donegan pleasingly reviewing it as "Bloody good!". Fantastic work all round from those guys and all the guest artists involved.

In addition to this I also mastered the second full album from Quiet Marauder, entitled '11 Shades of Love' and available from Bubblewrap Collective here.

Following a visit to the Guitars United festival in Leinfelden-Echterdingen there was a also a little preproduction for a future project with Platform Studio ran by the lovely Damon Sawyer.

Late 2014

Completed The Solipstick EP for Cardiff based Tarsiers. Quite reminiscent of Tame Impala.

Several months touring around Germany and northern Europe with Hundred Seventy Split, featuring Joe Gooch and Leo Lyons formerly of Ten Years After. The two tours were tracked and will be mixed down to a double CD album coming early in the new year.

Sessions were also completed for Old Samuel and Tombstone Jackson & The Texas Terminators. Further recording also for a forthcoming album from Cardiff skiffle legends Railroad Bill.

There was also renewed action on the Wrongs front with some additional recording for their compilation 'Selected Recordings 2011-2015' due for release in the new year.

Summer 2014

Completed a live EP for Albatross Archive recorded in session at Musicbox. Some very tasteful harmonies going on there. Tracks feature on the Live in a Box EP and Little Litter EP which can be found at their Bandcamp page here.

Also recorded The Tequila Worm EP as the debut from Tender Prey, the new project from Laura Bryon formerly of King Alexander.

Recorded and mastered a double a-side picture disc 7" for The School, released on WYAIWIA records. Also additional tracking for later releases.

2013 into 2014

Mixed the excellent new Mark Foley project, Shhhapes at Swn Festival. Their debut EP was recorded by Charlie Francis and is definitely worth a listen. More of that coming up soon.

Have come off two tours with Joanna Gruesome supporting Los Campesinos! and Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks. Nice to see lots of Midas Pro2's in venues. Another tour with them forthcoming in February with Speedy Ortiz.

Completed tracking on an EP for Cardiff based How I Faked The Moon Landing, hopefully to be released late February.

Quiet Marauder

Recently completed mastering 'MEN' the forthcoming debut 111 track quadruple album from Cardiff's Quiet Marauder.  The full 'magnum opus' will be released on Bubblewrap Collective in November. Until then you can peruse a 20 track sampler available on Soundcloud here and the album will be available through BigCartel here.

Get your ears around that.

Early 2013

Business since the last post has included recording and mixing a little live album from Strange News From Another Star called Live From the Moon

A tiny little additional bit of post production tracking for the excellent Fist of the First Man album, also featuring SNFAS 'low end provider' Mark Foley.

Also mixed an album at the start of the year for Edward Russell called Punch.

There was some extra tracking completed with The School and several more sessions recording with Wrongs, including a lovely weekend in a cottage.

Current upcoming work includes finishing a series of tracks from Albatross Archive and upcoming tracking sessions with Tarsiers (who are supporting the excellent Tunabunny on the 20th July at Buffalo Bar in Cardiff) and The Manatees.

Stiwdio Gwellt @ Eisteddfod 2012

Was pleased to be involved as a guest recording engineer along with Charlie Francis, Gethin John and Llion Robertson at Hafod Mastering's Stiwdio Gwellt at the National Eisteddfod 2012. Basically recording acoustic sessions in a studio made entirely from straw bales and turf in the middle of a big muddy field. The recordings can be found here. Many thanks to Donal and Beth Whelan for a lovely time and a constant flow of tea.

Will try to post some pictures when my phone starts behaving again.

Released today, '#1' EP from Wrongs, Cardiff based 'ambient nightmare' duo formerly of King Alexander, IK+ and various others.

Midas Consoles

Visited the Midas HQ in Kidderminster last week to complete CMDU training on the full range of XL8 and Pro consoles. Most enlightening. With the Pro2 and Pro2c having such competitive pricing I think you'll see a lot more of these desks around, especially considering how amazing they sound.

Christmas Session

A live session recorded last monday for Bethan Elfyn's show will be broadcast tonight at 7pm on Amazing Radio. It features live sets from Joshua Caole, Little Arrow, Alex Comana, Under the Driftwood Tree, Evening Chorus and Ceri Frost.

The evening was filmed by the guys at On Par Productions and the videos should hopefully be available soon.

October 2011

Engineered once again for the Swn Festival. Particular non-local highlights from the venue I was working were, Caves, Pandas and People, Ultra Humanitarian ("does your pa go below 15Hz?"), Holland, Olympians and Math Loop legend Theo.

The tracks completed for Johnny Cage & the Voodoo Groove are now to be included on a forthcoming release. They are out and about on tour during November supporting Alabama3.

Series of demos completed for local band Studio54.

Engineered and mixed a 2 track release for local doom merchants Hunger Artist. The tracks 'Senescense' and 'Magister Ludi' (suitably doomy names) can be downloaded from their Bandcamp page HERE. Definitely the loudest all live tracking session I have done at Musicbox.

Spanish return.

Just back from playing with The Loves at the Easy Pop Weekender festival in Andorra, Teruel.

Present business is completing final tracking for the Don't Tread on Spiders project and final mixing for Possible Tomorrow and Punk's Not Dad.
